Episode 63: All Over the Place

Episode 63

We are all over the place on this one with lots of things we want to talk about and just not enough time to get it all in. Yeah, we probably should have just gotten together sooner, but that bum Conesy had to have a little surgery in there that stalled things out for a bit.

In this episode, our hosts discuss Dreadball by Mantic Games, touch on Dropzone Commander by Hawk Wargames, catch up on some big Warhammer news, movies, campaign wrap up and even some listener questions at the end. Yeah, there’s a lot of stuff packed into this episode.

By the way, as promised, here is the link to the campaign that was just run here in Madison at Pegasus Games. Overall, as you’ll here, we all had a good time with it and it was laid out well to go with our pick up games on regular game night.

Episode 62: Eighth Symphony

Episode 62

First, let me apologize and warn, the sound quality isn’t are usual standard with this one. It’s recorded using a Google Hangout, and I didn’t do a great job of balancing everyone’s levels out of the gate which means that some people on the final cut ended up over amplified. Of course, if I would have had any brains I would have saved off the original recorded track as a back up before editing. It’s still a great show with some great stuff we chat about, just be ready for squeeky chair and over amplified Conesy.

That being said, in this episode, we talk about our favorite things about 8th edition. With guests Davy and Eric on as well as our hosts, it’s a lively chat and a great banter as we all discuss our favorite and least favorite rules in 8th edition.

Episode 61: Campaign Times

Episode 61

In this episode, the hosts are together to talk about how things are going. Conesy goes off rails and talks a bit to much about Bolt Action by Warlord Games. Meanwhile, Brian has been quiet about his new secret project and not getting much in for gaming due to the normal school/life duldrums.

To spice it up, Conesy talks a bit about this new campaign and what it will hopefully do to spice things up for a crowd of Warhammer players that are tired of hearing about 9th edition doom and gloom.

Episode 60: Escalating the Hammer

Episode 60

The hosts get back together to record and there is a lot to talk about. Joined by guest Kenny Lull from the Combat Phase podcast again, the hosts focus on talking about the current escalation league that is being run in Madison, WI at Pegasus Games on Monday nights. The hosts delve into escalation leagues and how they can be used as tools for not just adding players and growing the group, but also to achieve and motivate a group to hobby. Several other pros and cons are discussed as well as just defining what an escalation league is.

Also the hosts just catch up. There is some side talk about recent geek TV and movies, as well as some random Bolt Action that is chattered about in there.

Episode 59: Better Merry than Never

Episode 59

We apologize for how late this is coming out. I could go into a million excuses, but this is finally put together and coming out.

In this episode, we got together via a big Google Hangout and had various folks jump on through the night to talk about how much fun they had at Merry Mayhem 2014. Interviewed is overall winner Eric West and locals Davy Calkins and Paul Wagner. Be prepared, this one turned out much longer then expected, but was a ton of fun to listen to and record with all of these great folks.

For Undead vs. the World here is a link to the rules pack we used: Undead vs. the World Rules Pack
