Warhammer Quest and Belgian Waffles
Warhammer Quest and Belgian Waffles

Consey has fond memories of late nights of playing Warhammer Quest with friends and then everyone heading to a 24-hour dinner and enjoying a big stack of waffles with fruit. With the pandemic we may not be going out with friends to eat as much, but we can still have some fun at home.

The Game…Warhammer Quest

In Warhammer Quest each player takes the role of one of four brave adventurers. Players enter a dark dungeon. Working together they must face the perils and monsters that wait for them as they try to reach their goal and win glory. With multiple scenarios, the option to play them linked together, and a board layout that changes each game, you say engaged each time you play. The same strategy does not work for each game.

In today’s adventure Consey and I took on the ‘Free the Prisoners’ Scenario. The second group of monsters we encountered were 2 Minotaurs. These guys were tough and burned up most of our resources. After that, the 6 Skavens that attacked were able to knock us down fairly easily.

This game is great for a Sunday morning. It has some complexity, battles, but a lot of silliness occurs depending on events pulled and dice roles.

The Food…Belgian Waffles

Frozen waffles are good for week days, but there is something comforting about having a fresh Belgian Waffle as it comes out of the waffle iron. And the topping it with a homemade fruit sauce and whipped cream. Yum!
