Hobby gaming has grown over the years. More people are discovering hobby games and the ease of acquiring both new and unique games continues to grow. Hidden gems, these great games set your collection apart from others. In the thousands of different games available to you, how do you find these games that make your personal collection unique? For me, I’ve had great luck with recommendations from our local game store and playing unique games at friend’s homes.
After reviewing our game collection, I came up with 5 hidden gem games. In no particular order:
I was chatting with a friend the other day when I was asked what are my top 5 board games. I thought about it for a bit, but then wasn’t really able to answer it right then. So I sat down, looked at my collection on BoardGameGeek, and started to make some tough decisions.
I am sure this list will flux a bit over the years. I am sure sometime in the future I will end up putting out a new top 10 list for this very subject. It’s hard to predict with the number of games that are coming out which games I will still be in love with and which games will fall a bit out of favor.
Not all of these games are in print anymore, but all of these games are very good.

Welcome to 2021!!! I take one last look back at 2020 and picks out his five favorite games he played. Looking at the list, I found a couple of games that really surprised me. When I was prepping for this episode, I realized how much I really like those games.

It’s the time of the year to be festive. With many of us, we are looking at our favorite online retailers this year to purchase and possibly ship gifts to our friends and loved ones. With so many games out there, WiscoDice is here to provide some guidance as to what to buy your board gaming friends.
It’s worth noting that we have not played any of these titles. These are games that we are excited about ourselves. After reading reviews, watching game play, and doing enough research to make ourselves a little jolly, this is the list that we settled on.
For this list, we have looked at the top games that have either just released or are expected to release before the Christmas (December 25th) holiday. The list will feature both stand alone board games as well as expansions to popular games. Gamers can be very difficult to buy for. Anything that has just released going into the holiday season is something your gamer just might not have in their collections yet!
