Read on for more information on these 2 games.
Clans of Caledonia: Industria
Our first game this week is Clans of Caledonia: Industria from Juma Al-JouJou on Kickstarter.
Clans of Caledonia: Industria is a new expansion for Clans of Caledonia which originally came out in 2017. The game allows for 1 to 4 players each playing their own Scottish clan that uses their clan’s special ability to expand across the landscape raising animals and producing valuable goods for trade like milk, cheese, and whisky.
The Industria expansion brings a whole bundle of new content for Clans of Caledonia in the form of 11 new gameplay modules that can be added to the game in any combination. Many of the modules center around a new Train Map module that represents a rail network across Scotland. Each player will have a train meeple that travels across the rail map delivering goods for bonuses with the Deliveries module. In the Milestones module players will be able to race over the tracks to claim milestones and unlock new train routes. There is a new Automa module to enable solo play that is also compatible with any expansion modules. Other modules include:
- Map module – 4 new double sided modular mapp
- Contracts refill board – allows you to preview upcoming contracts
- Awards – new end game scoring opportunities
- Farmers Market – sell goods when you are adjacent to one of the farmers market tiles
- Double the Fun – essentially doubles the content of the base game bringing totals to 18 clans, 18 scoring tiles, 18 port tiles and 18 starting tiles.
The campaign also pledges this expansion will bring additional variety and replayability to the game through new gameplay strategies, increased player interaction, new intricate clan abilities, and some additional market volatility. A a bonus in addition to the expansion you will be able to get your hands on a copy of the base game as well, so let’s take a look at those pledge levels:
- Expansion – $42 – One copy of the Clans of Caledonia: Industria expansion
- Base game – $42 – One copy of the base game Clans of Caledonia
- Bundle: Base Game & Expansion – $83 – Clans of Caledonia base and and the Industria expansion in a single big box with lidded inserts.
Get those engines going and make a stop at the Clans of Caledonia: Industria Kickstarter page to make your pledge before November 29, 2024, when the campaign ends.
