Enormity
Our first game this week comes to us from Into the Unknown on Kickstarter and is called Enormity.

Enormity is a 1 to 4 player cooperative sci-fi dungeon crawl game with modular campaigns.
Enormity is set in a dark science fiction universe that pledges to blend technology, mysticism, religion and aspects of lovecraftian horror. The game in played in an open world that spans multiple location books and offers plenty of room for exploration. As a player your step into the suit of a Spacer stranded on a mysterious ship. You’ll gear up with technology and weapons and start your exploration.
Scenarios can be approached in different ways, sometimes stealthy or with careful reconnaissance. Other times you’ll want to go in with guns blazing. In either case Enormity features fast paced tactical combat using actions cards. You’ll be facing off against an array of bizarre and unique enemies or “intruders” represented by highly detailed miniatures (or illustrated standees) There are strange cyborgs, mutants, bizarre alien species and tentacled horrors for you to face off against.
The campaigns also feature branching storytelling and character progression for you to forge a unique path among the stars with your team or as a solo player. Enormity looks to be chock full of content so let’s dig into the pledge levels to see how to get access to everything:
- Baseline Pledge – $90 – Enormity core game and unlocked stretch goals. Includes standees not miniatures.
- Exclusive Special Edition Pledge – $141 – Enormity core game and stretch goals. Includes miniatures for Spacers, baseline intruders and bosses.
- Dead Spacer Pledge – $352 – Special edition core game and the following expansions, Scourge campaign, Grey Death campaign, Rotting Order campaign, Ghosts of Halla campaign and the Reinforcement Armory Gear expansion.
If you are ready to crawl through an adventure in a unique dark sci-fi setting make your pledge for Enormity before December 18, 2024, when the campaign ends.
52 Realms: Adventures
I don’t often cover print-and-play games but 52 Realms: Adventures from Postmark Games on Kickstarter caught my eye, so let’s take a look.

52 Realms: Adventures is a solo print and play dungeon crawling game that uses a standard deck of playing cards. The game is played on two A4 or Letter size sheets of paper one which contains the dungeon map and its monstrous inhabitants while the other sheet it for your character and your items and gear.
You’ll choose to play as either the Barbarian or the Seer each with their own special abilities to help you through the dungeon. To start the game you simple shuffle your deck of cards and draw some cards for your random starting equipment. The suit and value of the cards determines what type of equipment you have and how strong it is.
You’ll move through the dungeon map as you play progressing through rooms and encountering monsters. Monsters are also drawn from the deck and the suit and value of the card determine the type of monster and its level. Battle also happens by drawing cards from the deck and each monster has its own tactics depending on which cards you draw. You will use your equipment and items to fight the monsters and if you are lucky, defeat them and collect your rewards. You can choose between new equipment, items, or loot which grants you points for your final score.
But not so fast! You will need to face off against the dungeon boss if you hope to win. If you take too many wounds or run out of stamina (your deck runs out) your adventure will end in defeat. But this is a print and play so another attempt is just a few sheets of paper away!
Being a print and play game there are no physical rewards for backing this campaign but one benefit is that you can get the game almost immediately after the campaign ends. 52 Realms: Adventures is available for $7 and you will get access to the print and play files for 2 dungeons and 4 different characters. In addition to this the designers plan to support the game with additional content free to backers after the release and they are already working on another new dungeon and 2 more characters.
I think 52 Realms: Adventures looks like a great introduction to the world of print and play games so check out the campaign and make a pledge before December 15, 2024, when the campaign ends.
