Welcome to Kickstart Monday! This is our weekly series featuring 2 or more crowdfunding projects that have caught our eye. We scour over platforms like Kickstarter and Gamefound to find projects that interest us.

This week’s games are:

Read on to find out what’s special about them…

Monarch Game Table

In the world of board game tables, there are a lot of table options these days to choose from. The Monarch Game Table from Dragon and Geeks is their second entry into this market. Their first table, which is also available via this project, is the Guardian. Reading the comments on that Kickstarter were very much glowing with people very happy about their table that they received.

The table systesm from Dragon and Geeks offer a real wood table with what looks to be very solid design. The table inset is a little deeper on this new table than their original, but the surface is a neoprene mat in various colors.

The table rail system is magnetic. This means that all of those accessories such as cup holders, component trays, player desks, and others will be as good as the magnets. We don’t have personal experience with a magnet system, but as we own several other gaming tables we can see some advantages to that system.

One major thing to always be aware of is how you will receive your game table. Based on their previous table crowdfunding, it does sound like this will arrive via crate to your home so be prepared to unload and/or store a heavy crate until you are ready to install your table. Don’t expect the delivery people to put it in your house or garage when you receive it. So make sure you plan accordingly.

If you are like us, and want to elevate your game experience with a luxury gaming table then you chould check out this project.

Syncanite Foundation Board Game

Funded in the first 76 minutes, Syncanite Foundation from Syncanite GmbH is the first game from designer Timon Thöne and Syncanite GmbH.

This game is played over four phases. The first phase is the conflict phase where players will claim resourses and regions. This is a bit of a bidding phase with your armies where you may indeed be outbid for control of certain areas and losing out on resources that you may desperately need.

The second phase is the offering phase. During this phase you can buy and sell stocks for profit trying to win the continent’s dignatories over to your side. Winning here will give you powerful abilites and effects that you will be able to leverage to your advantage later in the game.

The third phase is the parliament phase where you will will try to influence the outcome of parliamentary votes. The parliament votes on new laws that will shape the course of the game. Thus manipulating the vote for laws that favor you and hinder your opponents should be a priority.

The fourth phase is the foundation phase. During this phase you will activate your role card, which provides a unique effect based on your faction. As well, there will be several round cleanup tasks so that the game is ready for the next round.

If this game sounds interesting then you should check it out.
