Rewild: South America
Our first game this week is Rewild: South America from Treeceratops and developer Marc Dür on Kickstarter.

Rewild: South America is a card-based engine building game for 1 to 4 players where players build an ecosystem with the flora and fauna of South America. To earn victory points in Rewild you will have to “Rewild” the damaged landscape of your personal player board by adding different biome tiles like rainforests and grasslands to create habitats for plants and animals.
You can attract plants, wildlife and predators to your biomes but each has their own specific needs. Plants require enough seed resources from your supply, wildlife needs enough empty biome tiles of the right type and predators need the right kind of prey in their biome. The animals and plants you attract will earn you endgame points in various ways and based on combos with other cards.
The game features 134 plant and animal cards all with an amazing lush hand drawn art style as well as some excellent looking screen printed animal meeples for use in the games “expert mode”. Some of the animal meeples are special treetop dwellers like parrots and sloths that your perch atop 3d tree standees in your rainforests!
Here are your pledge options for this campaign:
- Rewild: South America – $72 – one copy of Rewild: South America with all stretch goals
- Rewild & Flow – $96 – Rewild and a copy of Flow: Untamed Rivers a strategic tile laying game
If you are already going wild for Rewild: South America be sure to get your pledge in before the campaign ends on June 12, 2025.
Reforest: Old Growth
Our next project this week is Reforest: Old Growth from Firestarter Games on Kickstarter.

Reforest: Old Growth is a 1 to 4 player engine and tableau building game where players build an ecosystem not in South America this time but with the plant life of the Pacific Northwest. And Interestingly, Reforest: Old Growth can be played as a stand alone game or as expansion to the original Reforest: Plants of the Pacific Northwest Coast.
In the game, you’ll grow a personal tableau of plants by either gathering or playing plants on your turn. Each card in the game is based on a real species from the Pacific Northwest and have abilities and scoring conditions that mirror their real life counterparts. Each plant’s various traits can attract different animals and synergize with other plants.
At the end of each round when the deck of plants runs out one player is awarded animal visitor who has the most attractive habitat. Animal visitors grant value bonus points for endgame scoring. After the 3rd round players will score for their plant values, any special scoring effects on their plants, their animal visitor bonus points, plant elevation bonuses and stored energy points. The player who has built the most valuable ecosystem will be the winner!
Let’s check out the available pledge options:
