Welcome to Kickstart Monday!!! This is our typically weekly series featuring two or more crowdfunded projects for tabletop gaming. Every week I take a dive into what looks interesting on sites like Gamefound and Kickstarter. Hopefully, you will find these projects of interest too!
This week’s featured projects include metal coins for use as replacements in your games and amazing resin demon miniatures. Hopefully, you are as interested as I am. Let’s check them out!
Demons of the Hollowdepths
Demons of the Hollowdepths from Draco Studios features three massive demonic figure sculpts. The project allows you to actually obtain resin copies of the figures, something rare it seems like for miniatures these days. Additionally, you have the option as a backer to obtain the STL files if you would prefer to try to print your own. Expand your pledge with dragons from some of their previous work or their epic herald miniatures.
I can see these figures being used in a tabletop RPG where this is the manifestation of some demonic villain that will be centered as the boss for several sessions. Perhaps you are a Warhammer player. In that case, any of these demonic models would make for a great Slaanesh demon prince or other significant demon model replacement.
Perhaps you are playing Dungeons and Dragons Descent into Avernus or you are looking for something unique to make your demonic horde for Warhammer or Kings of War really stand out. If so, then you should certainly check out this project.
Basikcoins
Basikcoins from Basik Tabletop aims to create metal coins that are affordable and unique. Whether you play board games, role-playing games, or even miniature games there is often a need to have metal coins. These coins are offered in options for fairly large quantities in colors from copper, silver, and gold.
I remember playing in a Dungeons and Dragons game years ago where the DM had a large collection of metal coins. Instead of just jotting counts on paper, we were given the coins every time we gained treasure. This really did add to the immersion of the game. The same can be said every time we play a board game. Play with the included cardboard coins, or upgrade and pull out the metal coins and swap them in. It all adds to the fun and enjoyment for everyone at the table.
If you would like to add a large number of cool, metal coins to your collection. Whether it’s supplementing your RPG game, a board game, or even in use as cool tokens for a miniature game then you should certainly check this project out.
Did we miss your favorite project?
