Welcome to Kickstart Monday! This is our weekly series featuring 2 or more crowdfunding projects that have caught our eye. We scour over platforms like Kickstarter, Gamefound, and Indigogo to find interesting projects.

There are certainly some exciting projects out in crowdfunding land. Let’s take a look at a couple of games that we think you should check out.

2025 Board Game Creations Calendar

I love old-school calendars. The nostalgia factor plus the fact that I still find it useful as I work at home to have a clear, visual reminder of what day of the week it is! That’s why this project is one I am always excited to see each year. As a backer from previous years, I can also say that these calendars from previous years are of great quality and deliver on time.

The 2025 Board Game Creations Calendar features a unique piece of art each month designed by Katia Howatson. She uses game components in her work, with each design inspired by a different game. It’s exciting to see which game and theme gets displayed each month. It’s unique and is a great accessory for a gamer who has everything.

Campaign runs through May 6, 2024. It also has some neat new add-ons this year. These include bookmarks and t-shirts! You’ll want to check this project out if you are like me.

GameLib Pocket

Being able to game on the go is becoming more popular than ever. That’s why we picked this project to highlight this week as GameLib Pocket. GameLib Pocket from Grammes Edition is a pay-what-you-can board game subscription. In this project, you receive some basic components for gameplay such as a deck of cards, a few dice, some meeples, and wooden cubes.  What’s great about this is that you will then receive regular PDF updates with rules that you can use those components to play various games.

If you are a gamer on the go and want something you can take that is light and play several different games with, this might be your project.

Did we miss your favorite project?
