Lightening Strikes: Conesy’s Age Of Sigmar Stormcast Eternals

More hobby work is up. Local store Pegasus Games ran a recent 1500 point Age of Sigmar tourney and this, with help from Combat Phase Kenny Lull who keeps talking to me about AoS, motivated me to build and increase my fledgling Age of Sigmar force. The tournament was a blast and I managed to win 2 games and lose my third to Kenny actually….

Hit or Sit! Getting the Beat Down on Blood Bowl

All right fans, it’s time to take a look at the new version of Blood Bowl. I just picked up my copy this morning from Pegasus Games here in Madison for their Black Friday, shop in your pajama’s sale. There were plenty of Games-Workshop games players this morning all looking for the black friday shopping discount. Having been mostly away from buying of models from GW in a while, I have to say looking at the pricing that I can see why they were in the store.

Rant aside, I love Blood Bowl since I was introduced to it probably 12 or so years ago. I am an Orc player primarily and my standard team of old is 4 Black Orcs, 4 Blitzers, and 3 line Orcs (well, my base team anyways) with a couple of re-rolls and whatever is left is turned into fan factor. Well, that’s my starting team anyways and then we go from there. I also have a dark elf team, but I built that when dark elves still had throwers and no assassins and I remember a few years ago that changed which disappointed me a little since I had converted up a thrower. Oh well! That’s the way these things work sometimes.

This is the blog post for my long time secret, recently revealed, conversion project I had been doing.  I have been working on this guy on and off for about a year and finally have the modeling pretty well done.  This is the sum up what I did as well as my thoughts making this guy.

High Elves vs. Chaos

2015-08-03 19.15.06Found myself tonight, a day after Gen Con, with an itch to play some Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. It was really a last minute decision as work and life really have had me busy, but the stars aligned and I was able to get out the door and to Pegasus Games with the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar starter box and the hardcover book.

When I got there, one of the local players, Fred, was happy to play me with his high elves. We didn’t agree on anything too fancy. I was really limited to what models I had in the starter box and so we ad-hoc’ed a couple of lists together, largely based on wounds and after some discussion picked the scenario Breakthrough. After a roll off, the high elves began to launch their assault.
