Can we have a second Gen Con? Ok, we’ll wait until 2025. Join Suzanne and Conesy as we recap our experience at this year’s Gen Con 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Gen Con is most certainly a different convention from any other in the world, and there is always far more to see and experience than there is time in the 4 days to find. We’ll share our favorite experiences and games that we played over the BEST FOUR DAYS IN GAMING!!!!
If you were at the show, make sure you let us know what your favorite experiences and games were at the show in the comments!
It’s Kickstart Monday and it’s time to talk about two new crowd funded projects today. Today’s feature projects will dive into our love of tabletop miniature gaming.
For our first crowd funded project let’s take a look at this Kickstarter from Tabletop World’s graveyard terrain for 28-32mm modular resin terrain. This terrain looks beautifully gothic and I can see it fitting so many different tabletops. Indeed, I can see this terrain working for Malifaux, Warhammer, Batman Miniature Game, and many other games.
What I really like about this is that this is truly a modular set of terrain that you can back this project and receive physical copies of. You can pick up as much of it as you want, duplicates of certain pieces if you would like, or just a couple of pieces to supplement your gaming board. Whatever direction you want to take it, this terrain is certain to make your table look more stunning!
Keeping to this week’s theme, The Nightgaunt’s Nightmare project from Cosmondo features 15 cool figures that you can use to explore your new graveyard terrain. This Kickstarter Project features only the .STL files for these figures. This means you’ll need access to a 3D printer to take advantage of these models.
In the images provided, these models look pretty cool and would be great additions to your Call of Cthulhu RPG game or to add as additional background characters in any horror game (miniature or otherwise). Indeed I could see some of these figures getting used in even Zombie Apocalypse games!
Did we miss your favorite project?
If you find these interesting or want some attention on a Kickstarter or other crowd funding project that you would like to read more about please share your thoughts with us via our social media or at our email.

With that, let’s roll those dice! Wisco’s for the win!!!!
I have been painting and playing quite a bit of Malifaux. Got started really by listening to the audio drama podcast, Tales of Malifaux, which is really good. So far, everything I have and am working on is Neverborn and I have only a single master, Lilith painted. I hope to soon start working on “The Queen Returns” Titania box and start playing with her as well.
Gen Con 2016 was great and I had a blast. This year was the busiest year that I have ever had with three True Dungeon runs, seminars, hobby events, and other craziness. My biggest three highlights for the show were:
Going in with the rush at the opening of the vendor hall and buying the new Malifaux Crew Box, The Queen Returns for Neverborn.
Doing the Hirst Arts resin casting class. Short and fast, but I learned so much about resin casting. Both safety tips and product tips.
Being a part of the Infinity Seminar for what’s new that was done on Saturday and then walking away with a model for free. I had no idea how cool the seminar would be and actually walked out of their pumped about my PanOceania troops (which then got me to buy more models…..hmmmm…I see what they did there!!! Hahaha)
So we’ll be talking about this on the show I am sure, but in the mean time here are a ton of really quality pictures to tie you over!!!
