Welcome to Kickstart Monday! This is our weekly series featuring 2 or more crowdfunding projects that have caught our eye. We scour platforms like Kickstarter, Gamefound, and Indigogo to find interesting projects.

There are certainly some exciting projects out in crowdfunding land. Let’s take a look at a couple of games that we think you should check out.

Planet Unknown: Supermoon

Planet Unknown from Adam’s Apple Games launched last year as one of 2022’s hottest games. You play as a corporation trying to terraform a planet during the game. You will draft tiles from a lazy susan that the active player sets the position of. You then place the tile on your planet, hoping to match up specific tiles for the best score and rewards. Of course, this Kickstarter has the opportunity for those who didn’t pick the deluxe version up the first time around to pick theirs up.

Of course, Supermoon is an expansion that will introduce some new mechanics. First, the Supermoon boards are quadrant boards that have both symetric and unique sides. These will allow for 16 total combinations for plenty of replayability. In addition, the corporation boards will have a new half added to them, for more opportunities to grow a corporation into a greater power. Of course, new milestones and a new card type (Utility Cards) round things out.

If you are as excited as we are about Planet Unknown and tile-laying games, you should check out this project.

Honey Hop

Honey Hop from Undeferred Interactive is another game that focuses in on nature and bees. This game is designed for 2-4 players with lighter mechanics that should be great for either a filler game or as a family game. Honey Hop is a pickup delivery game where you will play as a bee collecting nectar and bringing it back to your hive. Watch out though as the other players will be looking to not only collect nectar the same way, but they can also collect it from your hive as well!

Honey Hop uses victory points to determine a winner so you want to cash that nectar in that you have collected for Honey. The more varied the flowers that provided the nectar, the more points your honey will score.

If you like pick-up and delivery games or are in need of a new family game then you should really check out this project.
