Neverhiem Rivals Miniatures Game
Neverhiem Rivals from Zombie Division promises a tactical miniatures board game set in a fantasy Norse inspired world. It features two styles of play, either a narrative story campaign game or a competitive head to head tactical miniature board game. Both variants of play are very intriguing.
The game features a plethitude of gorgeous miniatures and expansion products for you to choose. Neverhiem Rivals allows you to create a selection of monsters, heroes, giants, and more to be part of your adventure.
If you love games that feature lots of great miniatures, or are looking for a game that you can use the figures in an RPG or other use, then look no further.

In the U.S. we are celebrating Independence Day today. In honor of that we did some traditional American grilling for brunch and paired it with a game of Under Falling Skies by Czech Games.
Under Falling Skies is a solo game reminiscent of the Atari video game Space Invaders. The game also reminds me of the movie Independence Day, starring Will Smith. There are multiple scenarios and difficulty levels to choose from as well as a campaign mode. To not ruin any of the campaign surprises, I played a difficulty level one game trying to defend New York City.
I was doing pretty well keeping the aliens at bay and increasing my research tract. The last two rounds, the dice rolls were not in my favor and I couldn’t hold them off. Unfortunately New York City fell to the alien race. I currently lose this game more than I win, but it’s a fun, quick solo game with easy set up. I find it a great one to play when I need just a few minutes to myself.
Brunch consisted of grilled brats and hot links accompanied by corn on the cob with Jell-O Poke Cake. You can’t have bratwurst without grilled onions, which were sautéed with beer and the drippings from the sausages as they cooked. Of course, corn on the cob is a summer and autumn tradition for us and made perfect sense. The Poke Cake finished it off with a beautiful red, white and blue really added to celebrating the holiday!

For today’s Board Game Brunch we played Ghostbusters published by Cryptozoic Entertainment for Board Game Brunch. This cooperative game is based on the 1984 film. Ghostbusters is a great game for fans of the movie, you play as one of the Ghostbusters. With each Ghostbuster having unique abilities and ghosts springing up at you, the movie feel definitely comes through.
Our scenario objective was to trap the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. All four characters needed to contribute to corralling him. Towards the end, tt got a little tricky as our actions were limited while we were covered in so much slime. Nonetheless the Ghostbusters prevailed and sent the Stay Puff Marshmallow man away.
Not the healthiest brunch, but a fun one. Egon used the Twinkie in an analogy to explain how extreme the current psychokinetic energy (PKE) levels were during the first Gozer incident. So, of course, that has to be included. Additionally, to commemorate our defeat of the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man, we roasted him over fire.
