This is the blog post for my long time secret, recently revealed, conversion project I had been doing. I have been working on this guy on and off for about a year and finally have the modeling pretty well done. This is the sum up what I did as well as my thoughts making this guy.
Tag: The End Times
We have talked about our end times campaign we had been playing in quite a few of our previous episodes. After returning from Germany here is the over due battle report for the mega battle to end the campaign. This is largely my perspective of the battle I fought but I got some of the major things from through out the table as well. The theme of this game is a small section of the final battle for the old world where a portion of order allies assault a chaos legion lead by Archaon and try to free captured Teclis.
This post also includes a small gallery of Eric/Stonemonk’s Nagash that was used in this battle. The model looks great already but Eric still plans more on him. You should be seeing more of him as well as the rest of Eric’s undead coming soon.
The third week has been played out and good times were had by all of us that made it out. We had 6 of us out when we were making pairings so went with that. We had 2 more show up later, but it was too late for pairings as we were all playing and those two got to hang out and hobby. I will note that pairings were much more exciting with 5 players per team then three, but even then, there was strategy afoot in the pairings. While chaos has been on a tear with last week’s victories, order still controlled far more of the old world. With eyes set on the Battle for Karak Eight Peaks and the fall of Riekland, we paired up and played Warhammer.
- High Elves (Fred) vs Warriors of Chaos (Conesy)
- Dwarfs (Gordon) vs Skaven (Trevor)
- Empire (Nick) vs Ogres (Ben)
Another week is in the books, and what a week it was! Huge shifts in the campaign this week as the games were played and things were fast and furious. This week we had 11 players out which helped get everyone excited. After some decision making of who would play who, it was on to the match ups. The forces of Chaos still very down on the number of locations controlled was able to pick first, and led the choices of match ups. Overall, this system seems to work pretty well and lends a real team aspect to things. One thing I will note, and it’s not in the rules pack, but if your group tends to pick the same match ups every week, then you should have a rule in place to force the match ups to be different opponents for the first few picks. When you get down to the last two picks or so, you can’t help things as we did have one repeat match up.
- Undead Legion (Stark) vs Ogres (Eric)
- Dwarfs (Gordon) vs Warriors of Chaos (Conesy)
- Empire (Nick) vs Ogres (Big Ben R.)
- High Elves (Fred) vs Warriors of Chaos (Brian)
- High Elves (Kenny K) vs Skaven (Trevor) vs Ogres (Aaron)
The hosts get together to discuss the new hotness, Nagash and Warhammer: The End Times. A very opinionated discussion about the various changes and differences that are happening both in the fluff in this first addition to Warhammer with the End Times as well as new rules that are posed.
The hosts also discuss a new contest. To get the details though, you’ll just need to listen to the episode. We will tell you that one of the prizes in the drawing will be a brand new, still in shrink wrap copy of the spell cards for the Lore of Undeath! We will be drawing for a winner in this contest on Halloween 2014. Good luck!
