Episode 79: Online Board Gaming Made Easy with Board Game Arena

On this month’s episode of WiscoDice our intrepid team of hosts take a deep dive look at Board Game Arena. Finally we will give you a few games that we really love to play on BGA!

On top of that, we talk about the games that we have been playing. Brian and I dive into some miniature hobby talk discussing projects we are working. More clues are given to what Brian’s secret project is. Do you have any guesses as to what it might be?

Also, a big thank you to all of our participants in our contest. We’ll be reaching out to you soon to collect shipping information and let you know what you have won.

Conesy’s Diary: Episode 49 Warhammer Fantasy Dwarf vs Vampire Counts Battle Report

1000 Point Dwarf Army Ready for Battle

I recently played a game of Warhammer Fantasy Battles against Brian’s Vampire Counts. It was great fun, even if the game didn’t go my way. Seeing the battle lines form up, come together, and due battle was a blast.

High Elves vs. Chaos

2015-08-03 19.15.06Found myself tonight, a day after Gen Con, with an itch to play some Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. It was really a last minute decision as work and life really have had me busy, but the stars aligned and I was able to get out the door and to Pegasus Games with the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar starter box and the hardcover book.

When I got there, one of the local players, Fred, was happy to play me with his high elves. We didn’t agree on anything too fancy. I was really limited to what models I had in the starter box and so we ad-hoc’ed a couple of lists together, largely based on wounds and after some discussion picked the scenario Breakthrough. After a roll off, the high elves began to launch their assault.

End Times Campaign Mega Battle

Table after turn 1

We have talked about our end times campaign we had been playing in quite a few of our previous episodes.  After returning from Germany here is the over due battle report for the mega battle to end the campaign.  This is largely my perspective of the battle I fought but I got some of the major things from through out the table as well.  The theme of this game is a small section of the final battle for the old world where a portion of order allies assault a chaos legion lead by Archaon and try to free captured Teclis.

This post also includes a small gallery of Eric/Stonemonk’s Nagash that was used in this battle.  The model looks great already but Eric still plans more on him.  You should be seeing more of him as well as the rest of Eric’s undead coming soon.
