I scour platforms like Kickstarter, Gamefound, and Indigogo to find projects that interest me. People would ask me what I think is worth backing since I was providing these recommendations already. So why not share my thoughts with a weekly blog about projects that interest me?

In this week’s Kickstart Monday I am drawn to a couple of large projects that are expansions to games I wish I would have backed originally. Of course, these second-time opportunities to get these games might pass us by if we spend too much time chatting, so let’s check them out!
Mosaic: Wars and Disasters Expansion from Forbidden Games brings back the Kickstarter-exclusive version of Mosaic. Of course, this will be your last chance to get this Colossus edition of the game (well, until demand tells them to offer it in the next Kickstarter maybe….).
The game of Mosaic is a civilization builder game for 1-6 players. You will expand your influence over the board by establishing towns, cities, wonders, and military units. As you establish your influence, the rewards will allow you to invest in new technologies. These take the shape of cards that you will need to be able to afford the cost so that you can play them. If you can build a strong tableau of technologies and expand your area control over the various territories without over extending then you will score the most points and win.
If you love civilization games with a solid tableau-building engine you should definitely check out this project!
Wonderlands War: Shards of Madness Expansion and Reprint from Druid City Games takes backers back to the waring world of Alice in Wonderland. In the core game, you will be faced with many challenges. You must gather supporters for your cause and surround yourself with your allies. You will take on the forging of artifacts and gather Wonderlandians. Do these things and you will be successful in winning in battle.
The Shards of Madness expansion adds 35 new cards to the game. These add 24 new Wonderlandians, 10 new quests, 1 new battle marker card, and 8 10x shard tokens. Really, this is just a small add-on to the original game. For fans of the game, this will certainly give you more to explore, but if you missed out on the original then this may be your chance to snag a copy.
If you love Alice in Wonderland and that setting then you should definitely check this project out.
